Capstone Update

Hey guys,
My project originally was intended to clean the air and I narrowed it to the benefits of money-saving.
I've realized now that I can incorporate a medical aspect into my project. By putting my idea into effect, it could greatly reduce airborne pathogens and significantly reduce the risk of Asthma, a disease caused by the inflammation of the lungs, and other common allergies. Improving the air we breathe at home can reduce costs and save our lungs!

Capstone Idea

My capstone project relates to how to improve the quality of life in our homes. Using various money-saving methods, such as caulking and air conditioning effectively, I aim to reduce monthly electricity bills and improve the air we breathe. Barack Obama's recent "Cash for Caulkers" program goes to show just how important this issue is becoming in our lives.
For this particular topic, I chose to create a “competition” for the city of Dallas to see who can reduce their monthly bill from one bill to the next. A website would be crucial to share the rules and incentives to this “game,” and important tips and tricks in improving our every day lives. I also want to include a place for people to share their experiences and anything that worked. The picture of the “winner” would go on the front page along with how much they have saved just by attempting to make a difference—both for the community and personally.
